And to the first poster...are you saying that a nearly 20 year old recording (which has been re-ripped) and re-sold many times over in different formats) will suddenly 'sound' better if posted in FLAC rather than MP3 at 320k?
I very much doubt it.
Oh, and as for MP3 - If you don't like it, then don't use it. I have plenty of both FLAC and MP3 on my computer and I'm entirely happy with that. It's not 1998 anymore. You can make MP3's sound exactly the same as the original source.
I'm pretty sure those millions of people I see listening to their ipods/mp3 players all day long haven't got a whole heap of FLAC on them...have they?
